Pur donna, amo le auto. Amo guidare. Il mio scaccianervosi è costituito da quattro ruote e qualche chilometro di asfalto. Le scelte più importanti della mia vita le ho meditate e maturate al volante. Non sono di quelle persone che ci vanno in bagno con la macchina, ma con le mani sul volante e sul cambio e con i piedi sulla pedaliera mi sento in contatto con quella parte di me che è preposta al controllo e al raggiungimento dei traguardi. Affrontare una curva, impostare una traiettoria, scalare per dare giri, tutto in auto assume valenza simbolica, metafora di vita. Ho guidato vetture e furgoni di tutti i tipi, e ogni volta che accendo un nuovo motore sono elettrizzata alla sola idea di intuirne le reazioni, i sensi sono allertati per comprenderne le caratteristiche. Le marce lunghe, l'aderenza, il rollio, la ripresa, la reattività.

E' un piacere.

Eppure a 18 anni manco volevo prenderla la patente, avevo paura, i primi chilometri e le prime manovre mi hanno impanicata.

Le mie auto sono state nell'ordine:

1) autobianchi 112 usata per un mese in prestito

2) panda 50 usata per un anno (circa 15mila km)

3) peugeot 205 xs usata per un anno (circa 25mila km di cui 3mila per andare e tornare dalla francia...poi è spirata)

4) ibiza 1.0 slalom nuova per 7 anni (circa 120mila km in giro per mezza italia)

cambio di rotta, necessità aziendali, auto in leasing...

5) mini cooper 1.6 un anno e mezzo (20mila km)

6) mercedes classe a 180 cd un anno e mezzo (32mila km)

è evidente che queste due ultime vetture sono super macchine, la mini soprattutto è una goduria in montagna, la soddisfazione pura per chi si vuole divertire, piantata per terra e con una grinta insuperabile. eppure, non è nella mia indole cambiare l'auto così spesso. a me piace prendere sempre più confidenza con la vettura, conoscerla dal minimo scricchiolio, parlarci. certo è bello provarne di nuove, ma ho bisogno del senso di appartenenza.

poi mi sono messa a fare una serie di considerazioni: che senso ha viaggiare con 25mila euro sotto le chiappe? con quei soldi cosa si può fare di più utile per se stessi, anche solo per divertimento? beh, il leasing ha questo vantaggi: paghi le rate sul 50% del valore dell'auto e solo per il tempo che la usi. poi la vendi prima che si deprezzi troppo, recuperi i soldi che servono per chiudere il leasing senza perderci o perderci troppo e ricominci daccapo. peccato che funzioni come ragionamento solo se passi a stessa auto o auto di valore superiore. per cui si innesca un meccanismo perverso utile solo alla pseudo immagine di chi ci tiene a girare col macchinone per status.

dunque, mi sono presa le mie piccole misere soddisfazioni che sono costate un po'. ora preferisco tornare alla ragionevolezza, evitare sprechi e spese inutili. l'auto è pur sempre un mezzo che serve per spostarsi. e il maggior piacere l'ho avuto con la mia ibizina che mi ha scarrozzato per anni nei miei peregrinaggi in solitaria.

ho venduto la classe a, e ho comprato una atos usata. un doppio salto carpiato all'indietro che mi rende orgogliosa. tutto quello che risparmio (in assicurazione, bollo, consumi, manutenzione) andrà a beneficio dei futuri pupi e degli attuali bisogni. mi sento più leggera.

quando ho reso nota la mia decisione ho visto occhi sgranati: ma come, torni indietro? dalla classeA a una atos?????! ma sei nei guai? chissà perchè le scelte che minano l'immagine sono considerate più scapestrate di quelle che minano il portafogli...? vabbè si sa, qua in provincia è così, il valore si misura da certe cose. ma va bene così.

avrei voluto comprare una vettura ibrida, ma costano ancora troppo care (la toyota prius, la honda civic hybrida, la lexus non so che super suv). magari farò montare il gpl sulla atos, vedremo.

intanto inizio ad assaporare il piacere che proverò quando fra qualche giorno entrerò in una auto che so sarà mia a lungo, e inizierò quella lenta conoscenza che porta affondo.

Producono però più monossido di carbonio delle auto a benzina o diesel, e più idrocarburi incombusti, ma si tratta di idrocarburi meno tossici. Per quanto riguarda l'anidride carbonica, le emissioni del GPL sono paragonabili al diesel. Infine, consumano il 30% di carburante in più delle auto a benzina. I motori GPL sono meno rumorosi.
Nelle auto ibride, l'associazione di due diversi motori (uno elettrico e uno a scoppio) è una soluzione interessante. Permette infatti buone prestazioni con minori emissioni, grazie all'ottimizzazione del consumo energetico. Se si guida per 15.000 km l'anno nel traffico urbano, passare a un'auto ibrida può far risparmiare dal 30 al 50% sui consumi di carburante, il che equivale ad almeno mezza tonnellata di anidride carbonica. Le auto ibride hanno un motore più efficiente rispetto a quello delle auto "classiche" e tra le altre innovazioni, convertono l'energia cinetica in elettricità durante la frenata.
Una piccola berlina elettrica consuma circa 25 kWh ogni 100 km. Per fare un paragone, il consumo unitario annuale di un veicolo elettrico è equivalente a quello di uno scaldabagno elettrico, supponendo un utilizzo di 8.000 km l'anno. L'assenza di inquinanti prodotti dall'auto elettrica è in effetti solo frutto di uno spostamento del problema. Infatti l'elettricità che serve ad alimentarla non può mai essere prodotta in modo del tutto pulito, quindi l'auto elettrica inquina in proporzione a quanto inquina l'impianto che le fornisce elettricità. In particolare, l'elettricità è prodotta per la maggior parte da carbone, petrolio o gas, in quasi tutta Europa. Quindi le emissioni di CO2 per km di queste auto sono paragonabili a quelle di un'auto a benzina. Se l'elettricità è prodotta da gas, le emissioni sono inferiori ma il gas è meno abbondante del carbone. "
