Ecco Stefano hai colto il punto nell'ultima riga: secondo me è difficile fare anche i (peraltro correttissimi) distinguo che fai tu inizialmente, dal momento che un gesto assurdo come quello di mettere a repentaglio la vita del proprio figlio per uno show annulla tutto il resto, che si chiami coraggio incoscienza ecc. E sottoscrivo in pieno il fatto che sullo stesso piano va messa la moglie. Quando io parlo di "sfida alla natura" non indico quelle sfide di cui parli tu, che forse sono più sfide verso se stessi. Io credo, credo eh, che ad esempio gli scalatori che sono morti avessero grande rispetto per la natura. La sfidavano sì ma non con disprezzo. Io nelle imprese di cui sono a conoscenza di Irwin vedo sprezzo e disprezzo.

L'uomo è in continua sfida contro la natua, basta guardare un pò di televisione o leggere il giornale per capire quanto in competizione con la natura siamo! Per quello che mi riguarda credo che su Steve Irwin bisogna fare un distinguo: lui faceva dello show con la natura più pericolosa, era il suo lavoro, forse l'unico lavoro che sapeva fare, e allora sì è un coraggioso, un incosiente, un pazzo, un ricercatore allo stesso tempo (il confine tra queste cose in questo contesto è veramente sottile!). E il suo lavoro è riuscito a farlo bene, stiamo nel bene o nel male parlando di lui ora, quindi vuol dire che qualcosa delle sue imprese ci è arrivato. Finchè ha fatto queste "imprese" tutto ok, sì possiamo discutere su pazzia o coraggio ma alla fine è stata una persona che faceva bene il suo lavoro. Ma scusate nel momento in cui ha messo a repentaglio la vita non sua ma di una persona non in grado sceliere le sue azioni (e mi riferisco alla foto) ecco lì non è più un pazzo, non è più un coraggioso, non è più un incosiente, non è più un ricercatore, non è più niente di tutto ciò, in quel momento è solo (perdonatemi la parola) un gran coglione, sia lui che la mamma del bambino! Non si mette così a repentaglio la vita di persone che non possono decidere per se stesse!
