Afterhours...after an yearAltra location, il castello di Udine, un solo gruppo di supporto e non più un festival, a quasi un anno ecco di nuovo da queste parti gli Afterhours, reduci dal tour negli USA. Dal Rock Festival di Lignano 2005che tanto mi ha infiammata sono trascorsi mesi, alcune discussioni al riguardo, un cd ascoltato, un libro letto...arrivo quindi al concerto ieri sera con l'intento di scrollarmi di dosso l'antipatia generatami dalla precedente performance. Il via lo dà un gruppo di supporto di cui non riesco a comprendere il nome, ma che scopro poi essere di Ivan Moda, cantante friulano: nonostante l'acustica del castello non agevoli la comprensione dei testi, non mi è dispiaciuto affatto questo primo ascolto. In attesa, spero che non parli, il buon Manuel, e che dia fiato solo per le canzoni. E così è, a parte una butàde istituzionale. Senza il contesto dell'anno scorso, mi godo il concerto e la musica potente, la voce sontuosa, le parole graffianti. Bravi gli Afterhours, bravo Agnelli. A un certo punto tolgo le scarpe e appoggio i piedi sull'erba secca del giardino del castello: vorrei sentire le vibrazioni salirmi dalla terra. Ma non arrivano. Sento vibrare la pancia, ma i piedi appoggiano su terra silenziosa. Guardo verso il palco e mi rendo conto che manca qualcosa, a questo concerto altrimenti sublime: manca calore, manca emozione da parte di chi suona. La gente attorno a me si infiamma, salta, canta, urla. Fanno il loro anche sul palco, magistralmente, suonando e cantando alla perfezione. Ecco, la perfezione. Manca calore, eccede la bravura. Al termine dell'esibizione, con due uscite sul palco richiamati a gran voce, incontriamo un amico che, come mio marito, è tra i "cultori". Senza dir nulla ascolto le loro impressioni: niente di che, un po' moscio, bravi ma vabbè. Insomma, un po' sotto le aspettative rispetto ai precedenti del gruppo, ma senza aver nulla da ridire sull'esibizione dal punto di vista tecnico. Di musica non ne capisco molto, di parole poco più.
